BEEF 2021 Wrap Up

YLEN attended its first BEEF this month in Rockhampton, the event which is only held every 3 years provided a fantastic opportunity for members to represent the live export industry. YLEN had fantastic support from our industry partner LiveCorp & sponsor Queensland Livestock Exporters Association.

The week started with a property tour at the beautiful Raglan Station, the location of the Registered Export Premises Central Queensland Livestock Depot, with the tour focused on the live export supply chain. It was a great day out for YLEN with our Chair Kari Moffat, Treasurer Ryan Olive & members Brooke Barkla, Mark Harvey-Sutton & Tom Slaughter speaking on the day.

The judging ring was well represented with YLEN members positioned throughout multiple breeds. Congratulations to all who took away ribbons and trophies!

Throughout the entire week, the Graham Acton Beef Connections Program was in the spotlight, an amazing opportunity for YLEN members Kari Moffat, Caitlin Obst and Ryan Olive. A big highlight to come out of this program was the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister.

As well as all this going on,  Livecorp and QLEA stands were busy all week, with YLEN having exposure on both. We would like to thank all the members who were able to commit their time to man these stands, it was greatly appreciated.

See you all again in 2024!
